November 15-17: Special Guest Kike Pinto from Peru!
Join us for a unique retreat featuring Kike Pinto, noted prayermaster, songwriter, musician, and Andean sacred music teacher! This special weekend will be a deep dive into the sacred heart of Peruvian music and ceremony. We will be honored with Kike’s musical and spiritual expertise both in and outside of ceremony. Beloved charango teacher Monique Mizrahi, a close friend of Kike’s family, will also accompany us for this week of deepening into music and ceremonies. Gracia Divina Church ministers will serve sacrament Friday and Saturday, with the support of these masterful and heartfelt musicians. On Sunday, Kike will offer a Quechua song school and teachings from his rich life and in-depth study of Quechua language. He also holds deep wisdom regarding Andean sacred music and prayer practices, and Andean Cosmology. Kike has pursued years of study with spiritual elders in his native country of Peru, and is kindly traveling here to share wisdom regarding music-making as prayer. He is an esteemed songwriter, and many of his songs are sung in our sacramental communities. Chances are, you’ve heard his songs. Join us in this special opportunity to work and pray with Kike and Monique! Samples of their music here:
